What's the one "luxury" item that you can't go without on a micro adventure?

I love clean socks! I'll take one pair per day + a spare + another waiting for me in the car for the drive home. What luxury do you have to take? Stu

Probably my little bag of 'things' including batteries, compass, whistle, fire steels etc.
For those, just in case moments......

My Therm-a-rest Trekker which converts my sleeping pad into a chair. When you get over 50 a little comfort in camp goes a long way.

they're great little things (if you carry a thermarest).
Great for getting a little cack support when sitting around after a long day.
Thanks for sharing

Good answer, since I got a camera I have always carried it when out and about, never though about leaving it but never thought of it as a luxury, not sure why.

A 6oz hip flask, brimmed with a decent scotch.

My honey Stove.. It's a great way to have a contained fire anywhere and packs down small.. sometimes a warm fire can change the entire feel of a day. (and the camera always comes too)

Definitely my Brew Kit
Nothing quite as rewarding as stopping for a hot mug of tea while out on adventures.

It has to be the brew kit. I now consider it to be a navigation aid. If I get lost or disorientated I just stop get a brew on and gather my thoughts trying to retrace my steps to the last place where I was certain of my location. By the time I have made tea I either know where I am or at least what direction to head. Quick and sudden navigation (navigation without a brew) is often flawed. I find the act of stopping long enough for water to boil calms and clears the mind.

Actually, it might well have to be a good, strong ale for me. Whether as part of a pub-stop, or something I carried out/in.
