Hello everyone first of all just want to say it's great we got a forum to share and talk about our experiences in appreciating the simple pleasures in life
I am keen to do wild camping sometime next year with either a Bivvy or a tent, I was thinking a quiet beach with its peaceful atmosphere would be a real buzz. The idea of A fire while listening to the waves crash excites me but unsure of the legality of it. Has anyone had exp wild camping if so any tips, also anyone got any good beach ideas. All the best. Regards. Kade

Hi there. My brother does beaches quite often and hasn't had any trouble so far but we are in Scotland. Scottish laws are.
2.18 Public rights on the foreshore and in tidal waters will continue to exist. These have not been fully defined but include shooting wildfowl, fishing for sea fish, gathering some uncultivated shellfish, lighting fires, swimming, playing on the sand and picnicking. Access rights also extend to these places.
Wherever possible, use a stove rather than light an open fire. If you do wish to light an open fire, keep it small, under control and supervised – fires that get out of control can cause major damage, for which you might be liable. Never light an open fire during prolonged dry periods or in areas such as forests, woods, farmland, or on peaty ground or near to buildings or in cultural heritage sites where damage can be easily caused. Heed all advice at times of high risk. Remove all traces of an open fire before you leave.
The laws in England and Wales are very different where you can potentially get hassle for doing near enough anything.

Best of luck and have fun! Like Al Humphreys says though if anyone asks you to move and they're right about it, all you have to do is move on though as far as I remember he's never been moved on before.
