What micro adventures did you have this weekend?
I got 4 munros done. Two east of Glenshee, back down to the car then up the other side to do the two west of the glenshee road. Only 4 hours which meant a lot of time in the pub waiting for a friend who ran 50km over the hills! crazy girl she is.

Nice. Are you based in Scotland Stu? I caught around 12 miles in the Hope Valley again this weekend. Though took a bit of an unexpected beating from the weather on Kinder Plateau.

That's lucky! I'm in Sheffield so likewise for me, but in the Peak.

I'm about a thousand feet lower than Kinder and about 20 miles south, the weather we had here last weekend was pretty full on, I imagine that up on Kinder it would've been epic. Fair play for getting up there amongst it

This weekend I visited London (as a standard tourist) - feeling very lucky to live in Aberdeen now (even if the public transport is terrible).

I hate London. I try my best to avoid the place, the air is barely fit to breathe. Though they certainly do have a great cultural scene down there.

Out on a 3 day 2 night canoe trip in the Frost area of Ontario. Amazing trip. We actually got to experience the first snow of the year even though it was mixed in with a liberal amount of rain.

Snow? I'm envious, it's probably going to be some time until some heads my way.

I love London too ^^ I love it for all the cultural events everywhere, the diversity of people, and the energy of the place. Although I do have to admit I live at the outer edge of London because it's slower, quieter, and greener My adventure this week-end: nothing big - I'm just starting and like to take one step at a time - I went on a group ride from London to Cambridge on my single-speed bike. I really enjoyed the scenery and all it's hues of yellow and green, the challenge it gave me (I've only had my single speed bike for a week and never ridden this kind of distance in one go before), any the group of people that was - like me - slower than most of the participants

This weekend I: - traveled to Laggan (near aviemore) on friday night with some friends; - discovered there was no road to the hut; - got soaked to the bone on the hills; - had a lot of good food; - played on some rope swings; - did some tree climbing with ice axes; - some slacklining on Loch Morlich beach; - the mandatory hot chocolate in Aviemore.
Fantastic weekend!

@catsailorjersey We camped out last night at a place called Egypt in the Parish of Trinity in Jersey. It was the second of our 12 microadventures sleeping out in each of the 12 parishes of Jersey. Slept in a neolithic cave in St. Ouens last month and last night was at the site of the deaths of British soldiers who attempted to land in Jersey in 1943 to see how islanders were doing under German rule. Unfortunately they stepped on a mine and were killed. Was wet last night but ex army suplus bivy bag kept me warm and dry. ?
